Fountaingate supports Casa de Libertad, a Christian orphanage on the western side of Juarez, Mexico.  Al and Charlene Ward lead a weekly trip to help the sometimes near 100 "ninos de la calle’"...children of the street. Many are true orphans while others are rejected by parents consumed with problems.  The Wards go every Tuesday with a van full of food, clothing, and supplies--all donations from around our community.  They have been faithful and have not missed a week in over 4 years!  We encourage visitors to come with us.  The trip lasts from around 9a.m. until late afternoon.  Other trips may be scheduled on Saturdays.  Our vision is that dozens of churches in the local area will "sponsor" a child or children and activily take part in the weekly visits.  Once at the orphanage, you will find children that truly need a hug, smiles, and "talk".  Those who don’t speak Spanish do not worry.  God provides ways to communicate and you will surely know several children by name and what each likes to do. 

Our prayer is to reach out to children in a not so distance land.  There are so very many of these children in Mexico and many do not find a place like Casa de Libertad--some live like dogs in makeshift homes while others are sent to beg by greedy friends or relatives.  Still others may be abused sexually...yes, both boys and girls.  We are reaching out beyond our "Jerusalem"--to a "Samaria" not but 90 minutes from our front door.  How can you help?  Come with us.  Spend time with these children.  Love on them with Jesus’ love.  Or help us by donating goods or monies to support the on going mission.

James 1:27 says, "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress."  YOU can make a difference at home and abroad...ONE little life at a time.
